Join us for a Health & Safety Information Evening, a collaborative effort between the Beecroft Public School Parents and Citizens (P&C) Council and Beecroft Rotary. This event focuses on providing our community with essential basic first aid awareness, particularly regarding CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and the use of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators). Many people don't realise that anyone can help save a life by calling 000, performing CPR, and using an AED, ideally within the first few minutes. This sequence, known as 'Call, Push, Shock,' is also called the Chain of Survival.
This is a community awareness session, not a formal training course resulting in certification. Our goal is to provide you with foundational knowledge and build confidence. In many emergency situations requiring resuscitation, any attempt at resuscitation is better than none whilst you wait for a more qualified first aid individual or emergency services to take over.
Our keynote speakers are Dr Andrew Coggins and Dr Sonali Munot from the Westmead Children's Hospital
